"The program really helped me understand why my cockatiel, Felix is ok with me but not with my wife. He was biting and lunging at her. When I was away, it was getting difficult for her to manage Felix. As we went through this program together, my wife and I understood why Felix was especially aggressive towards her. With what we learnt in the course, my wife and I worked on making Felix more comfortable with her. Today, Felix is happy to be around her and even steps up on to her fingers when she asks him to. We can't thank Bite Buster Bootcamp enough."

"Bite Buster BootCamp has been a lifesaver for me and my African Grey Parrot, Charlie. Before the course, my bird's biting made it impossible for me or anyone in the family to be able to handle him. However, after implementing the techniques learned, the aggression has significantly diminished. No more painful bites, just a happy and friendly relationship with Charlie. I'm grateful for the practical insights and step-by-step guidance provided by the course. It truly exceeded my expectations and turned my once stressful interactions with Charlie into moments of joy. If you're dealing with an aggressive parrot, don't hesitate, Bite Buster BootCamp is the solution you've been looking for!"

Macaw parent

"Bite Buster Bootcamp exceeded my expectations in addressing my blue fronted amazon, Blu's aggressive behavior. His biting was totally out of control, and I was skeptical about finding a solution, I hd tried so many things in the past. And to be honest, they aren't the first course we tried. But the previous one was a long winded and disorganized course with too much information. This one is so nicely laid out and well explained, I am glad I got it. The course not only stopped the biting but also provided insights into understanding Blu's triggers. I can't be happier!"

Budgie parent

"This is wonderful, Beak School. Thank you. There's a lot of good information here! I would encourage anyone about to open their home to Budgies or any other species of bird to go through this to know everything you can about your new "baby" prior to them arriving. It will help you more than anything else you can do to be ready for them to come home."

FINALLY: a way to fix your bird's behavior without years of guessing or giving her up.

Let's face it,

most bird owners wait way too long to ask for help.

It isn't because they don't care. They care so much that they keep thinking they can fix it on their own.

So you watch one more video and buy one more toy.

You tell yourself all parrots bite, and that screaming is just what birds do.

Meanwhile you flinch every time she climbs toward your hand…

You stop having friends over because of the noise…

And the people you live with start asking when you're going to do something about that bird.

One parrot behavior consultant wrote about an owner who got bitten every single day for three years before asking for help. Another got bitten on the neck every day for a whole year.

Three years.

That's over a thousand bites.

Once someone finally looked closely, both problems ended with a few simple changes to the bird's day.

The longer you wait, the harder it gets.

Every time a behavior gets her what she wants, she learns to do it again.

If screaming brings you back into the room even once in a while, she learns to scream longer and LOUDER.

So you try harder. One video says ignore her. Another says cover the cage.

You try both, she gets confused, and you feel like you failed…

Until you're left with the worst thought any bird owner can have: the R word.

But what if you didn't have to guess anymore?

What if someone who really knows birds could look at your bird and tell you what's going on… in one call?

Source examples are shared for education. Every bird and home is different.

Why you should listen to me

I'm Cody Chamberlain, and unlike most "bird experts" out there…

  • I run Beak School, where over 12,000 bird owners have learned to train their birds with kindness instead of force
  • I've built a team of parrot trainers who help our members with real problems in our community
  • I've been through the long, hard work of training my own animals too

But more importantly, I'm still in the trenches with bird owners every day, and I only bring on trainers who train the kind way.

You pick the trainer and the time. The price you see is the price you pay.

Why nothing you've tried has worked

Think about what actually happens when she bites.

Your hand moves toward her.

She lunges.

You pull your hand back fast.

You see a bad bird.
She sees a result.

Parrots are prey animals. When something scares them, they back away. And when they can't back away, they use their beak.

So she wasn't being mean. She was being heard.

The bite worked.

The tricky part is that the payoff is different for every bird.

For one bird, a bite means go away. For another, it means that's my spot, don't touch it.

Same bite. Different payoff.

That's why a video can't fix it. The person in the video has never met her.

That's why the tip that worked for your friend's bird made yours worse.

None of this is your fault. Nobody hands you a manual when you bring a bird home.

It was the payoff. And until someone finds her payoff, you're just guessing.

The one question that changes everything.

Stop guessing what's wrong. Start with someone who knows where to look.

Most bird owners are stuck because they're asking the wrong question.

They ask, "How do I make her stop?"

But you need to ask:

"What is she getting out of this?"

Every plan you've tried so far is about getting through the behavior after it starts. Hand pulled back, towel ready, jaw clenched, hoping she doesn't do it again.

She's not being bad.

She's doing what has worked for her before.

So the real job isn't to punish the behavior. It's to find the payoff and give her a better way to get it.

A trainer does that by asking what happens right before the behavior and right after it. It sounds simple. It is simple. But it takes someone who knows birds to see it in your home.

This takes less work than what you're doing now, not more.

No more arm wrestling with a bird who has a can opener for a face.

And that's exactly what a one on one call gives you.

Introducing: One on One Calls With a Beak School Trainer

I went looking for trainers who know birds and train the kind way, and brought them into Beak School. Now you can sit down with one on a video call and get a plan that:

  • Starts with your bird, not a script. Your trainer asks about her species, her age, her history and her day before giving you a single tip.
  • Finds the payoff behind the behavior (hint: it usually starts before she ever bites or screams).
  • Shows you exactly what to do starting tonight, one small step at a time.
  • Tells you when something might be medical, so you see an avian vet before you lose another month.
  • And warns you about the days it might get a little worse first, so you don't panic and quit right before it works.

This isn't theory.

It's the same kind of force free training our trainers use every day, pointed at one bird: yours.

How a call works

  1. 1

Pick your trainer. Read their profile and see which birds they know best.

  2. 2

Pick a time and book. Choose an open time, check the box to agree to the booking terms, and pay the price shown. You'll get a confirmation email.

  3. 3

Get ready. Tell your trainer what's going on when you book. If you can, have a short phone video of the behavior ready.

  4. 4

Meet on video. Your trainer asks questions and watches her if she's close by. Then they help you see the payoff.

  5. 5

Leave with a plan. You get clear next steps made for her. You can book a follow up call anytime.

You pick the trainer and the time. The price you see is the price you pay.

What a good trainer will never ask you to do

A good parrot trainer will never tell you to hit your bird or spray her with water as punishment.

They won't tell you to hold back her food to make her listen, or to push her around to show who's boss.

If anyone tells you to do those things, find a different trainer.

Every trainer who takes calls on Beak School has agreed to train without force.

Calls start at $66

Why pay for a call when free tips are everywhere?

Three reasons:

  1. 1

Because money talks. When you pay for a call, you show up ready and you actually do the plan. Free tips sit in a browser tab. She needs you to actually do this.

  2. 2

Because you've already spent enough on things that didn't work. Cage covers, toys she ignores, sprays that promised calm, maybe even a bigger cage. I want the right answer to cost less than all the wrong ones put together.

  3. 3

Because I'm playing a longer game than one call. Some owners will want to join Beak School Club after their call to keep learning. Most won't, and that's completely fine with me.

Each trainer sets their own rate. The price on their profile is the full price. Nothing gets added at checkout, and there's no monthly charge.
