Directory Terms, in plain words

We keep what you type into your application: your name or business name, the kind of provider you are, your email address, your city and state, whether you offer virtual services, the specialties you choose, your tagline, your website if you share one, and any certifications you list.

If you attach a certification document, it goes into private storage. Only you and the Beak School review team can open it. It is never published on your page and it is never shown to the public.

Bird owners who enter an email with Beak School can see the contact details you choose to show. Rescues and avian vets are always open. You can hide your email, phone, or website at any time from your listing settings.

A listing is a working relationship, so agreeing to these terms includes agreeing to receive emails about it: notices about your listing, client leads that come in for you, and directory news such as changes to how people find you.

Emails about Beak School programs and offers are separate and optional. You choose that one with its own checkbox, and you can change your mind whenever you like.

Removing your listing in your provider settings takes you off the public directory right away and stops directory emails. Nothing is held over you, and you do not have to explain why.

Deleting your Beak School account removes you from Beak School entirely. If you would like your certification documents deleted sooner than that, ask us and we will remove them.

Keep your details accurate, describe your services honestly, and treat the people who contact you with care. Guidance shared through Beak School is force free and behavior based. If a listing turns out to be inaccurate or unsafe for birds, we may remove it.
